And more importantly CHICKEN.
Yes, it is true I ate Chicken this weekend. Did I feel bad? a little. Did it stop me? nope. So here's what happened, before dabbling in meat alternatives I used to LOVE Chicken Pita Pizzas from Extreme Pita, the Moxie's Chicken Quesadilla and the Earl's Chicken Quesadilla (all cheeseless, weird I know). I've been to all of these restaurants since cutting chicken out of my life and found other things to eat. However, this last weekend I asked myself this question, "Who do I feel bad for more? Chickens? Or for me not having my favorite Quesadilla?" My selfishness reared it's ugly head.
My Mom calls me "flighty", unfortunately I feel that it is situations like this that prove her right.
Wednesday - "I don't eat chicken."
Thursday - "I'll have the Chicken Quesadilla please."
What happens next? Who knows.

ReplyDeleteI am fickle like that too. I never really say, I'm not going to eat meat" but then I'll say something like, not eating it unless it's natural or organic but then there will be some chicken breasts in the fridge and I reallllly need something with protein that's filling and I'll eat it anyways. Ya....we're like that. Whatever right?
