I need to start by saying..
Who is Chris N.?

He lurks in the background and somehow manages to snag roses at each ceremony.
Ali how will you choose? If this isn't attractive, I don't know what is..

Okay, now let's play a game. It's called, "Guess The Bachelor"...
When Ali asked where the lines come from he responded, "Right here, from my heart. Jump in, stay a while." Who is he?
KASEY

Kasey does not want to guard and protect her heart. He wants to take her heart, put it in a jar and keep it on his nightstand. That guy has GOT to go. However, I'm convinced that for every week that Kasey stays Ali gets some major compensation.
I took it upon myself and refilled out his Bachelor Bio.
BACHELOR BIO
What he considers his three best attributes: The three O's. Being overbearing, overwhelming and outrageous.
What he likes to do for fun: Creep, get tattoos and sing.
Most outrageous thing he's ever done: Permantly branded himself on The Bachelorette.
What he considers an ideal date: Making up songs, singing them and offering up life long commitments to girls he barely knows.
Tattoo Count: 1
Acomplishment he's most proud of: Making "top 11" on The Bachelorette.
Finally, let's all take a moment of silence in honor of The Weatherman. May the Texas wind blow in a cute man so you too can find love.

On to food...
Peanut Butter Cookie

1/3 Cup Oats, 3/4 Smashed Banana, 1 Tbsp PB, 1 Tsp Maca Powder, 2-3 Tbsp Almond Milk and Cinnamon.
Since my Man was driving to Swift Current to try and sell a HUGH Jass truck scale I was on my own for lunch. For once I decided to be productive with my time and forced myself into going to the gym. Actually it wasn’t that hard. I told myself that if I went to the gym then I could buy a pita for lunch and if not then I had to scrounge through our grocery-less fridge. That’s all it took. I recognize that bribery works well with me.
Once I got to the gym I headed straight the butt lifter, I mean Smith Machine. I did 4 sets of 12 with 90 pounds on the bar. Since it had been a while I figured I should do an exercise for all the important muscle. All of which were done in 3 sets of 12 reps. Bicep Curls, Chest Press, Leg Press, Skull Crushers (LOVE that name, so badass), Abs etc.. Actually there was no etc. That was it.
On the way back to work I picked up some Pitas for my Sister and I at Extreme Pita which I’ve now renamed Extreme Hummus. As per usual I got a regular WW loaded with Mushrooms, Black Olives, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Pickles and GREEN peppers. I didn’t ask for the Green Peppers, but someone behind the till decided I should have Sautéed Green Peppers instead of the Onions I’d asked for. I also got HUMMUS of course and as luck would have it I got stuck with the disgruntled worker. She started with a measly scoop that barely covered half of the pita and then I made the mistake of asking for, “a LITTLE more”. As the words came out of my mouth she proceeded to put the rest of the tub of Hummus inside my Pita. I guess I can see how, “a little” and the “rest of the tub” can be confused, they do sound similar. She’s lucky I LOVE Hummus.

After work I decided to do some baking and tried my hand at some MUFFINS. Since I am now aware of what sorts of ingredients need to be in muffins, like 2 cups of flour or else 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of quick cooking cereal, some eggs, a mushy fruit/vegetable etc.., I made this recipe up.
Sweet Peanut Butter Bomb Muffins
- 1 Cup Oatbran
- 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 Cup Mashed Sweet Potato (cook in microwave until soft)
- 2 Tbsp Greek Yogurt
- 1/4 Cup Agave Syrup
- 1/2 Cup, 1 Tbsp and 1 Tsp Egg Whites
- Various Peanut Butters
First, combine all dry ingredients in one bowl. Second, combine all wet ingredients in the other (sweet potato counts as wet). Beat wet ingredients until mixed and somewhat smooth. Mine still had chunks of sweet potato. Pour wet ingredients into the dry bowl and mix with a fork until it's all combined. Scoop into muffin pan (makes 12). Next, dig holes in each muffin, toss in about 1/2 a Tbsp of Peanut Butter (whatever kind you'd like) in each muffin. Then cover by pulling dough over PB. Pop in oven at 350 for 11 minutes because this is the PERFECT length of time.

Since I'm a disaster in the kitchen and love making messes I used every kind of Peanut Butter I currently own.

White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Regular, Cinnamon Swirl etc.. The only thing I forgot was my Almond Butter, damn it. I also iced two muffins sans PB with Greek Maple Icing. I mixed a little Greek Yogurt with a little Maple Syrup and iced away.

Tah DUH

I had a Cinnamon Swirl Bomb STRAIGHT out of the oven and it was AHmaaayzing. After my first bite I quickly nick named myself, The Muffin Whisperer. Since my Man was running out the door to Rugby and only had a SMALL quick taste (which he said was really good) I immediately had the overwhelming urge to call someone and tell them about my muffins/ask if I could drive one over. I picked up the phone and dialed my dad, who's the best by the way. He doesn't even like Peanut Butter but he told me he was off to Sobeys and would stop by on the way. YAY, score. Verdict?
My Dad - "They're good"
My Dad is a man of few words. Let me translate that for you. What he really meant was, "these muffins are fudgin AWESOME". Anyway, since he had driven over in his mini sports car I took the opportunity to get in a good walk. Bailey and I hopped in the car with him and rode to my parents house so we would have no choice but to walk all the way home. On the drive there I was tempted on more than one occasion to tell my Dad to stop and let us out, but I sucked it up. I did however, talk to Kim the entire walk which made it both entertaining and enjoyable. Seriously, if you've never gone for a walk and talked on your cell phone at the same time you're missing out. Just saying.
When I got home it was time for SUPPA and THE BACHELORETTE

Before I sat down to take part in America's favorite past time, watching TV and eating food, there was a knock at the door. I was SO excited to see that TWO more taste testers had arrived. My Sister and HER Man stopped by to take Bailey for a walk and of course I made them each sample a muffin. They split a White Chocolate Wonderful Bomb and one with the Maple Greek Icing. The verdict?
My Sister (who is the Muffin Connoiseur) - "Moist, sweet but not too rich and they taste like a nice treat."
The Husband - "Delicious. I rate them a 10 out of 10."
By the time I was actually ready to watch The Bachelorette and eat my fries my Man got home from Rugby. It's always more fun watching it with him since we can make fun of people together.
Before bed I had myself a MUFFIN..

With some Better Butter. I had no choice but to have an iced once since I highly doubt that yogurt topped muffins should chill at room temperature for long periods of time.
Annnnnd I woke up around 1:00am for some Pumpernickle and PB..
Haha I totally agree - Chris N. is just kind of "there" on the show :-D
ReplyDeleteUgh, so sorry what happened with the pita - sounds like that worker needs some people skills (and hummus-pouring skills).
