Breakfast Ideas

Since we all know I'm still loving the Breakfast Cookie, here are few ideas for DIFFERENT breakfasts.

English Muffin Sandwich

Toasted or Untoasted Ezekiel English Muffin
½ a nanner sliced
1 Tbsp Nut Butter

Naked Pre-fixings

Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal

1/2 Cup Oats
1/2 Cup Pumpkin
1/2 Cup Almond Milk
1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
1/4 Tsp Ginger
1/4 Tsp Nutmeg
1 Tbsp Nut Butter

Leave in the fridge over night or toss in the microwave. You might need to add a little more milk until you get the texture you desire.

Yogurt Combo

3/4 Cup Greek Yogurt (or any yogurt),
1 Tbsp Nut Butter
1/2 Cup Cereal of your choice
1/2 Sliced Banana.

If you like Greek Yogurt Sweet like I do add ½ Scoop of your fav Muscle Food or mix in Pumpkin or Applesauce.

Straight up Cereal

1 Cup of you fav Cereal
1 Cup Almond Milk,
1/2 Scoop Protein Powder
1 Tbsp Nut Butter

Blended Cereal Puddin

1/2 Banana
1 Cup Fav Cereal
1 Cup Milk

Blend in blender and top with Tbsp Nut Butter.

Breakfast Cookie (DUH)

1/3 Cup Oats
1 Tbsp Nut Butter
1/2 Smashed banana
2 Tbsp Almond Milk
Cinnamon Sprinkled on top
Drizzle Agave on in the morning

Substitutions: Add Pumpkin instead of banana, Add ½ Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder, Add Applesauce instead of Banana, Don’t mash the Nutter Butter in and instead mix a Tbsp with Tbsp Yogurt and spread it on top like Icing.

With Pumpkin

Overnight Oats

½ cup rolled oats
1 cup Milk
Half a med. banana
Option: A handful (about 1/2 a cup) sliced strawberries or any fruit (raisins)

Combine all ingredients and cover in the fridge over night. If they aren't creamy enough add a little more milk and toss it in the microwave. Top 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter or Almond Butter in the morning.

French Toast

Two pieces of Ezekiel bread dipped in one egg white each. I covered them with lots of cinnamon and fried each side until they were nice and brown. Then drizzled them with Agave and a side of 1 Tbsp PB for dippin.

Waffles

Two Waffles, Topped with a Tbsp Nut Butter, Half a Sliced Banana and drizzled with Agave. Or if your on the go make it a Waffle Sandwich.

Chia Pudding

2 Tbsp Chia Seeds
1/2 Scoop Protein Powder (Optional)
1/2 Cup Almond Milk

In the fridge Overnight and top with 1 Tbsp Nutter Butter and/or Half Sliced Banana in the Morning. Drizzle with Agave if ya want too!

  8. This is a good question. I have no idea how many calories i'm eating! I just aim to have breakfast, lunch, snack, supper and snack everyday. I'm not trying to lose weight so YES i'm maintaining. That's not to say I don't know how many calories are in the packaged food that I eat, I always check nutritional stats before I buy something. So Snacks I know are somewhere between 200 - 300 calories since it's mostly a mix of packaged food. HOWEVER, I have no clue how many calories are in sweet potatoes, squash, brussel sprouts etc.. I used to count calories and weigh myself but it sure takes the fun out of food and can make you crazy. So I've stopped doing both of those things. I like my size so if my jeans get too tight or lose I'll adjust accordingly by eating more or cutting back a little.
