Too Much

It's BACHELOR MONDAY!!!

Yesterday I slept in until EIGHT and didn’t get out of bed until NINE. It was crazy. When I did get up I clearly had this predictable breakfast:

I panicked last night when I was making this. My “cookie” mixture wasn’t covering the whole square like usual. This led me to believe I had under measured somewhere and cheated myself out of some cookie. False Alarm, it covered.

With my breakfast i opened THIS:

This is from someone SUPER special, he's been my Valentine my WHOLE life. My DAD!!! Since my parents are in Phoenix I got it early and saved it till today.

It made me cry...

My Man had Indian Running food

Chia Puddin - Chia Seeds are known as "Indian Running Food" because they are supposed to enhance energy. I'm showing you this because it's really good and since your not addicted to the bfast cookie like me you can try it. 1/4 Chia seeds in 3/4 almond milk over night. In the morning add more almond milk, muscle food (optional), Sliced Banana and tbsp Almond Butter.

My parents have an indoor pool so I headed over there to swim. I tried out some syncro moves for my audience aka Bailey. I think she was confused by the whole swimming scenario but this made her appear very interested and enthusiastic. I haven’t swam like this in forever, by this I mean with my head submerged.

Since it was Valentines day and I’m not as impatient as my man (Lie), I had a card for him. And a treat.

Homemade Reeses Heart. I didn’t actually measure anything but here’s the mix:

I took over a tbsp of PB and added some almond milk. I stirred it until it was mixed together. To thicken it up I added some spelt flour. For sweetness I added Agave. Adjust ingredients until the PB is a little doughy. I pushed the dough into a heart cookie cutter. Then I melted organic dark chocolate and poured in on top. Put the whole thing in the freezer, once fairly frozen push it out of the cookie cutter and REESES HEART.

My man opened his card and proceeded to shake it for money. He loved the homemade Reeses (we are both obsessed with Reeses peanut butter cups), I know this because he took it downstairs and finished the whole thing.

LUNCH TIME

I was going to have these organic sweet potatoes I had bought except when I cut it into rounds it was white. IMPOSTER. Aren’t sweet potatoes orange? Or are those yams and I’ve just been fooled this whole time? Anyway, I fed that white “sweet potato” to my man instead.

His

Spinach, Chicken, Jicama Rice (I had to use up the other half from the other night) and “sweet potato” rounds.

Hers

Fried Tofu (fried as in cooked on a pan with Olive Oil spray), Spinach, Jicama Rice and the Yam or Sweet Potato my mom gave me in fry form. Either way it was orange like I wanted it to be. The dip was nutrional yeast mixed with stone ground mustard and a little H20.

I have this bad habit of NEEDING to finish everything on my plate even if I’m full. You would think food was scarce and I was afraid that every meal could be my last supper (or in this case lunch). I need to try to break this habit, being uncomfortable for 2 hours following a meal isn’t necessary. Comfortable = A Snack. A Snack = Happy.

After lunch my man wanted to watch the Olympics. I tried, but it was REALLY boring. So i read Eating Animals instead.

Like I had mentioned in my earlier post, Foer talks about our taboo against eating dogs. Questioning why we spare dogs yet eat all kinds of other animals.

"Don't eat animals with significant mental capacities. If by "significant mental capacities" we mean what a dog has, then good for the dog but such a definition would also include the pig, the cow, chicken and many other species of sea animals. And it would exclude severly impaired humans."

I LOVED this quote. I'm still not sure where i stand on the omnivore/vegetarian thing, i think i'm in my own place somewhere in the middle, but i do like learning and reading about it.

Reading made me hungry for a treat:

Cake Batter

1/2 scoop muscle food, tbsp PB and cinnamon.

My man had hockey AGAIN so i busted out the movie Nine. I was dying to see it in theatres but i never made it in time. Luckily, i know a guy. So i watched it illegally. Obviously making it extra good.

I have a huge girl crush on Kate Hudson.

Before i headed downstairs to our mini movie theatre, i made myself some eats.

Amy's Veg Burger and Parsnip Fries. I know i know, i'm REALLY into fries right now.

The movie sucked so it led me to THIS, now before i show you i want to apologize for not using plates. I am aware that this looks gross.

I'll try PB with anything.

1/2 banana and PB

I remembered to snap a pic half way through my first half. Ezekiel English muffin with Better Butter.

It was like a free for all. I was having one of those moments where you just can't figure out what it is you FEEL like. I don't know if i found what i was looking for but i sure was full. Then i went to bed.. that full..

Oh and of course i woke up at 12:00 o'clock for a slice of Pumpernickle with PB.. Duh..
